Arne Sødal is the architect leading the reconstruction project. He was also the architect behind the successful reconstruction of Holmenkollen Chapel in 1996. His team of architects, carpenters, and woodcarvers with experience from the chapel project forms the core of the project group. Office at St. Olavsgate 7, Oslo.

Thomas Flemming leads the Architecture Uprising and is a key voice for the reconstruction. Together with Arne Sødal, he has worked to mobilize public support and political will for the project.

Audun Engh

Co-founder INTBAU Norway (1946–2023)

INTBAU Norge / Hasselbakkens Venner

Audun Engh was one of the most dedicated champions of rebuilding Hasselbakken. He co-founded INTBAU Norway in 2006 and co-founded the Architecture Uprising Norway in 2016. In 2018, he established 'Friends of Hasselbakken'. Audun passed away in March 2023, but his work and vision live on in the project.

Friends association for rebuilding Hasselbakken, established in 2018 by Audun Engh. A growing group of engaged Oslo citizens working to make the project a reality.

Förderverein Kongsnæs e.V.

German sister organization

The German association behind the successful reconstruction of Kongsnæs in Potsdam. Winner of the 2021 Willy Brandt Prize. Has offered all blueprints free of charge to the Oslo project.
